Fashion En Route to TUT!!!!!

Well Hello my Betsus! It has been TOO LONG! I must apologise, yet again for my non-existence and must still shift the blame to my Bcom Marketing degree! Let us not wallow in the past; I am back and with a bang bitches!!!!!!

Since there have been so many great developments while I was in “Blog-hibernation”, each new development will be getting its own post! October is going to be busy here in Betsuland, so BUCKLE UP and ENJOY!!!!!

My first new development is my acceptance into the Fashion Department of TUT (Tshwane University of Technology)! This is a big deal for me as TUT was voted one of the 50 top fashion departments in the WORLD in a leading US fashion blog (Fashionista.com)! This is even sweeter as it is the only South African institute to feature in that list! It is total bliss to know your talent is appreciated by one of the top dogs! Lol!

 Obviously TUT was not the only institute I applied for! I also went for the test at LISOF (London International school of Fashion, Hatfield campus) and I got accepted. I also went for an interview at the Design School South Africa (Brooklyn campus) and I was accepted. Then finally went to the TUT interview and got accepted! Given the previous paragraph, it is a bit obvious which institute I will be attending!

Before I went for the interview, we were required to write a test asking the usual personal and fashion questions (Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Who is your favourite designer and why? Why this degree? Etc.). Then we were asked to design women’s corporate wear outfit and to incorporate jean clothing on a man! Here are my designs before and after I put colour on them:

I felt pretty happy and satisfied about my designs, and evidently, so did TUT! I hope you like them too.
